Higgins is one of the seven members of the LGBTQ Caucus in the Massachusetts State Legislature. “LGBTQ Victory Fund is pleased to endorse Natalie Higgins for State Representative in the 4th Worcester District,” said Mayor Annise Parker, President & CEO of LGBTQ Victory Fund. “Natalie’s commitment to smart public policy that addresses the real concerns of her constituents makes her the best candidate in this race. When she wins in November, Natalie will continue to be a strong LGBTQ voice for equality in Leominster and the Commonwealth.” LGBTQ people remain severely underrepresented in government nationwide – holding just 0.15 percent of elected positions despite representing at least 4.5 percent of the U.S. population, according to Gallup. As an openly LGBTQ leader, Higgins will continue to be an unwavering voice for equality in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Her priorities in the State House are fighting for high-quality public education from preschool to college, bringing down the cost of healthcare, supporting our working families, and ending sexual and domestic violence. NATALIE HIGGINS IN HER RE-ELECTION BID The Massachusetts Sierra Club endorsed State Representative Natalie Higgins (D-Leominster) in her re-election campaign. The Sierra Club works to protect the environment by connecting activists, volunteers, and supporters to voice concern and demand action. In this session, Rep. Higgins collaborated with Rep. Andy Vargas (D-Haverhill) introducing legislation that would study incentives for low-income households to reduce their energy consumption and greenhouse gas pollution and establish two pilot programs in gateway cities. NATALIE HIGGINS IN HER RE-ELECTION BID The Massachusetts Voters for Animals endorsed State Representative Natalie Higgins (4th Worcester) in her re-election campaign. Mass Voters for Animals works to elect the most humane-minded candidates to public office in Massachusetts so that these legislators can enact laws and policies to protect animals. In this session, Rep.
