NATALIE HIGGINS SECURES HER PLACE ON THE BALLOT FOR THE SEPTEMBER 8TH PRIMARY FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE 4TH WORCESTER DISTRICT

LEOMINSTER -- Natalie Higgins (D) turned in more than 220 certified signatures to Secretary of State William Galvin’s office Monday morning, securing her place on the ballot in the September 8th Primary for State Representative for the 4th Worcester District, which encompasses Leominster.

“I am so thankful for the outpouring of support from the Leominster community for my campaign, and for every single person who signed my nomination papers to secure my spot on the ballot.” said Ms. Higgins. “I cannot wait to celebrate with them on Friday at our campaign kick off.”

The Committee to Elect Natalie Higgins is hosting a Campaign Kickoff Fundraiser at Eagles Hall (456 Litchfield Street, Leominster, MA 01453), on Friday, April 29th, 2016 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Tickets are $20.00 ($10.00 for seniors and children under 12), and are available at www.electnataliehiggins.com, or at the door. There will be pizza, music, and plenty of time to speak with Natalie.

Natalie Higgins has spent the last decade tirelessly advocating for underrepresented groups, including sexual and domestic violence survivors, the public higher education community, and the elderly community. She is a licensed attorney, joining the Massachusetts Bar in 2014. Ms. Higgins is currently the Executive Director of the Public Higher Education Network of Massachusetts (PHENOM), a nonprofit that organizes around issues of affordability, accessibility, and quality in our public higher education system. She also serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Pathways for Change, a Worcester county-based rape crisis center.

“Natalie not only brings a fresh perspective to the role of State Representative, but she also has a unique set of skills that make her a tremendous advocate for the city of Leominster and its residents,” said Gloria Bachand, Chair of the Committee to Elect Natalie Higgins.
