The preliminary election will be held on Thursday, September 8. “Natalie Higgins is an ideal candidate for our endorsement,” said MWPC President Meg Hogan. “Her commitment to promoting young women in politics is remarkable, as is her devotion to improving public education in Massachusetts. The Caucus looks forward to her campaign, and we are confident that she is the best candidate to represent the 4th Worcester District.” “There need to be more young women in office,” stated Higgins. “As the first in my family to go to college, I understand the difficulties that can face women in entering local government. With the support of MWPC, I hope to make government more accessible to women, as well as to improve our public education system for generations to come.” Higgins currently serves as the Executive Director of the Public Higher Education Network of Massachusetts. She graduated from the UMass Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and from the Northeastern University School of Law with a Juris Doctor. In 2014, she was admitted into the Massachusetts Bar Association.
