MASSACHUSETTS WOMEN’S POLITICAL CAUCUS ENDORSES STATE REP. NATALIE HIGGINS IN HER RE-ELECTION BID
The Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus endorsed State Representative Natalie Higgins (D-Leominster) in her re-election campaign in the 4th Worcester District. The MWPC is a non-partisan organization committed to increasing the number of women elected to public office and appointed to public policy positions.
“No measure of a community’s progress can be made without a truly representative elected body. We believe decisions about our communities should include women’s voices,” said Caitlyn Clarke, MWPC PAC Co-Chair. “We need leaders like Rep. Higgins, who will be a strong decision maker and advocate in the Massachusetts Legislature. We need to change the face of leadership in Massachusetts, where fewer than 29% state offices are held by women. The MWPC PAC is proud to endorse and stand with Rep. Natalie Higgins.”
“Learning that I was one of the first 200 women elected to the Massachusetts Legislature was both humbling and maddening. I am proud to have the support of MWPC and thankful for all of their efforts to help elect more women to state and local office,” said Rep. Higgins.
State Representative Natalie Higgins is currently serving her second term as State Representative in the 4th Worcester District, which consists entirely of the city of Leominster. Rep. Higgins is a former nonprofit director and attorney, and has focused on being accessible and available to Leominster residents with early morning and evening office hours. Her priorities in the State House include fighting for high-quality public education from pre-school to college, bringing down the cost of healthcare, supporting working families, and ending sexual and domestic violence.
