MASSACHUSETTS PEACE ACTION ENDORSES STATE REP. NATALIE HIGGINS IN HER RE-ELECTION BID
Massachusetts Peace Action endorsed State Representative Natalie Higgins (D-Leominster) in her re-election campaign in the 4th Worcester District. Mass Peace Action is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working to develop the sustained political power to foster a more just and peaceful U.S. foreign policy. They promote human rights and global cooperation and seek an end to war and the spread of nuclear weapons.
In their endorsement, Mass Peace Action wrote: "Rep. Higgins is a demonstrated ally of peace, as seen by her support of all nine MAPA bills introduced this session. Rep. Higgins is a primary sponsor of S. 2165, resolutions to prevent the first use of nuclear weapons by the US.”
State Representative Natalie Higgins is currently serving her second term as State Representative in the 4th Worcester District, which consists entirely of the city of Leominster. She also serves as a Massachusetts State Co-Director of the Women Legislators’ Lobby and was named a 2019 WiLL Pacesetter for her work on the Joint Resolution on No First Use.
Rep. Higgins is a former nonprofit director and attorney, and has focused on being accessible and available to Leominster residents with early morning and evening office hours. Her priorities in the State House include fighting for high-quality public education from pre-school to college, bringing down the cost of healthcare, supporting working families, and ending sexual and domestic violence.
