MASSACHUSETTS NURSES ASSOCIATION ENDORSES 
STATE REP. NATALIE HIGGINS IN HER RE-ELECTION BID
 
The Massachusetts Nurses Association endorsed State Representative Natalie Higgins (D-Leominster) in her re-election campaign in the 4th Worcester District. With more than 23,000 members, the Massachusetts Nurses Association is the largest and most effective union and professional association of registered nurses and health professionals in the state of Massachusetts. 
 
“Since she was elected in 2016, Representative Higgins has been a fierce advocate for registered nurses and the patients we care for,” said Donna Kelly Williams, RN, President of the Massachusetts Nurses Association. “She has worked closely with the nurses in her district and led the legislative delegation to fight against dangerous staffing cuts and unsafe conditions at UMass-Memorial Health Alliance Hospitals.  She strongly opposes unit and service closures that limit access to the healthcare her constituents deserve.” 
 
On Higgins’ record, Kelly-Williams remarked, “We can consistently count on her leadership at the State House to promote important legislation that will improve patient safety and protect nurses and their practice.  The Massachusetts Nurses Association is proud to once again endorse Natalie Higgins for State Representative of the 4th Worcester District.”

State Representative Natalie Higgins is currently serving her second term as State Representative in the 4th Worcester District, which consists entirely of the city of Leominster. Rep. Higgins is a former nonprofit director and attorney, and has focused on being accessible and available to Leominster residents with early morning and evening office hours. Her priorities in the State House include fighting for high-quality public education from pre-school to college, bringing down the cost of healthcare, supporting working families, and ending sexual and domestic violence.
