MASSACHUSETTS AFL-CIO ENDORSES STATE REP. NATALIE HIGGINS IN HER RE-ELECTION BID
The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations of Massachusetts endorsed State Representative Natalie Higgins (D-Leominster) in her re-election campaign in the 4th Worcester District. The AFL-CIO strives to ensure all working people are treated fairly, with decent paychecks and benefits, safe jobs, dignity, and equal opportunities.
“On behalf of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO Executive Council and our nearly half a million working families across the Commonwealth, I am proud to announce our enthusiastic endorsement of Rep. Natalie Higgins for re-election in the 4th Worcester House District,” said Steven Tolman, President of the AFL-CIO of Massachusetts.
“We are confident that Rep. Higgins will continue to be a champion for every single worker in Massachusetts, whether they are in a union or have yet to be organized. From fighting for living wages and quality benefits to ensuring safe conditions in our workplaces and our neighborhoods to advocating for a strong public education system for all of our students, we know that Natalie Higgins will continue to stand with working people as our state Representative from the 4th Worcester District.”
"I am grateful to have the endorsement of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO Executive Council," said State Rep. Natalie Higgins. "I look forward to continuing to work with all of their members to lift up workers' voices to make the city of Leominster, and the entire Commonwealth, a stronger community."
State Representative Natalie Higgins is currently serving her second term as State Representative in the 4th Worcester District, which consists entirely of the city of Leominster. Rep. Higgins is a former nonprofit director and attorney, and has focused on being accessible and available to Leominster residents with early morning and evening office hours. Her priorities in the State House include fighting for high-quality public education from pre-school to college, bringing down the cost of healthcare, supporting working families, and ending sexual and domestic violence.
