NATALIE HIGGINS IN HER RE-ELECTION BID Carpenters Local 336 and the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (NASRCC) endorsed State Representative Natalie Higgins (D-Leominster) in her re-election campaign in the 4th Worcester District. The NASRCC represents 28,000 carpenters, pile drivers, shop and millmen, and floorcoverers working throughout New England and New York state. Both the NASRCC and Local 336 work to support the Union’s members professionally and to promote their values in local and state government. “We are proud to endorse Representative Natalie Higgins for re-election because she has been a tireless champion for our members, both in her district and on Beacon Hill,” said Joe O’Brien, the Political Director of the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters. “She knows how important the construction industry is to our economy and truly understands how important unions are to re-building the middle class here in the Commonwealth. Natalie is always fighting for her district and for the needs of all our state's workers.” “From day one, Natalie has been responsive to the needs of our members and all working families,” agreed David Minasian, Regional Manager of Carpenters Local 336. “Natalie has stood with us in our efforts to combat the opioid epidemic, stop wage theft and has supported frontline workers during the COVID crisis. We are proud to support Natalie because we can always count on her to stand up for our members and all the people in her district.” “I am thankful for the support of Carpenters Local 336 and NASRCC, and to support all of their efforts to protect workers' rights and stop wage theft. Time and time again they have had the backs of workers here in North Central Mass,” said Rep. Higgins. State Representative Natalie Higgins is currently serving her second term as State Representative in the 4th Worcester District, which consists entirely of the city of Leominster. Rep. Higgins is a former nonprofit director and attorney, and has focused on being accessible and available to Leominster residents with early morning and evening office hours. Her priorities in the State House include fighting for high-quality public education from pre-school to college, bringing down the cost of healthcare, supporting working families, and ending sexual and domestic violence. ###

I work as a carpenter, and I am happy that we decided to do all of this. I think that it is important that we get what we deserve. We all work just as hard as you people, so why are we not getting compensated right? I am not here to act negatively, but I do want to voice my thoughts and opinions on this topic. I hope that we manage to finish this up soon, I still have work to do.
