BAY STATE STONEWALL DEMOCRATS ENDORSES 
STATE REP. NATALIE HIGGINS IN HER RE-ELECTION BID
 
The Bay State Stonewall Democrats endorsed State Representative Natalie Higgins (D-Leominster) in her re-election campaign in the 4th Worcester District. The BSSD advocates for the LGBTQ+ community within the Democratic party.
 
"Rep. Natalie Higgins is a strong voice for the LGBTQ+ community on Beacon Hill and we are thrilled to endorse her for re-election,” said BSSD Board Co-Chair, Jeremy Comeau. “Rep. Higgins will continue to advocate in the House for LGBTQ+ equality and we are lucky to have her on our side."
 
In this session, Rep. Higgins supported successful legislation that prohibits the medically discredited and controversial practice of gender conversion therapy. The bill was signed into law by Governor Charlie Baker in April of 2019.
 
“I am thankful to have the support of the Bay State Stonewall Democrats and to continue our work to advance LGBTQ+ rights across the Commonwealth,” said State Representative Natalie Higgins.
 
State Representative Natalie Higgins is currently serving her second term as State Representative in the 4th Worcester District, which consists entirely of the city of Leominster. Rep. Higgins is a former nonprofit director and attorney, and has focused on being accessible and available to Leominster residents with early morning and evening office hours. Her priorities in the State House include fighting for high-quality public education from pre-school to college, bringing down the cost of healthcare, supporting working families, and ending sexual and domestic violence.
